The gold or silver leaf finish is a particular processing technique known and used since the time of the Egyptians and Greeks who used it to decorate temples and statues. The simplest procedure is based on the use of gold or silver leaves reduced to very fine square sheets of about ten centimeters per side. The product is first cleaned of impurities and then sprinkled with a liquid adhesive that covers the entire surface to be treated. The leaves are placed one at a time next to each other, taking particular care to make them adhere perfectly to the surface to be decorated with the help of a brush or pad. The process ends with the application of a final protective varnish that repairs and gives shine. It is a purely artisanal process whose result is the sum of patience, experience and skill. This type of baroque-inspired workmanship has been widely used in recent years and aims to insert some decorative elements such as dressers or armchairs in modern-style environments, giving a touch of class and luxury to the environment. Lacquering Lacquering is a type of finish that has lacquer as its basic element, i.e. a coloured opaque paint (polyester or polyurethane). The product is previously checked, sanded to eliminate any imperfections in the wood and then a layer of lacquer is applied by hand using special airbrushes. The process then ends with finishing and drying in the pressurized cabin. The effect of the lacquer is usually opaque but by using particularly porous essences such as ash or oak we can also obtain an open-pore lacquer. The colors we have available for our furniture are infinite and include all color scales (Ral, Ncs, Pantone..). With the lacquered finish you can dress your furniture in the color you prefer or better matches your environment.
