Gemma is a console table with a drawer. Smooth top with owl beak edge. The four sabre-shaped legs have a refined carving that runs all around the base of the caisson forming elegant curl decorations. Centrally, the advanced body contains a drawer with a front decorated with a shell carving. LEAF FINISH The gold or silver leaf finish is a particular processing technique known and used since the times of the Egyptians and Greeks who used it to decorate temples and statues.
