MARCELLO two-drawer desk
Measurements L.120 D.60 H.80 cm
Marcello is an elegant desk with two drawers. The top has a solid wood frame and two central panels with star inlay with joints (small grooves between the various woods that form the inlay). Undermount we find two rectangular drawers that fit into the shaped band that connects the four finely crafted sabre legs. The sinuous shapes of the base are enhanced in the lacquered finish, while the walnut shades make the inlays of the top shine. Marcello is a refined desk that is well suited both to classical studies or as a contrast with more modern environments.
Technical sheet: Structure, drawer fronts and legs in solid wood Veneered top.
INLAY Inlay is an ancient process consisting of the decoration of objects with designs made of various materials. In furniture, this technique consists of cutting out slabs of wood of various essences, placing them side by side in order to form designs and decorations. Painstaking patience, knowledge of wood essences, drawing skills and cabinet-making experience. An inlaid piece of furniture will become the protagonist in any environment, giving a touch of originality and value.
WHY WOOD Having a piece of wooden furniture in your home is not just a matter of style or taste. Its mechanical and technological properties such as resistance, hardness, good polishability make it a perfect material for furniture production. Chemical and physical properties are essential for creating a healthy living climate. Wood is a perfect thermal and electrical insulator, i.e. it protects us from heat and cold but easily shields us from magnetic fields. The strong hygroscopic property allows moisture to be stored in rainy seasons and released in drier periods. Wooden furniture not only makes the environment in which we live more balanced and healthy, but it is also good for our planet. Recent studies define that in order to support and certify the eco-sustainability of a product, it is necessary to analyze the 5 phases of the product's life cycle: Acquisition of raw materials, production, distribution and storage, use and end of life. Wood from sustainably managed forests makes it possible to produce green and eco-sustainable furniture
